Rev. Dennis C. Langdon
OUR STUDENT PASTOR
I am an active member of the United Methodist Church, in the Auburn Gresham area of Chicago, for more than 20 years. I am a strong believer in prayer; and I am dedicated to the work of ministry in the areas of social justice and church administration.
I am the 6th of seven daughters, and mother of one married daughter (Jasmine); and grandmother to two grandsons (Israel & Kendall, Jr.).
I am a Chicago Public School Teacher by trade, Secretary for Chicago BMCR, Advisory Council Chair for the Kairos Outside-IL #1 Prison Ministry International, and Masters of Divinity student at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary; anticipating graduating in spring 2023. In my spare time I love spending time with family, going to baseball games, listening to music, and watching good movies.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Trinity United Methodist Church, as the body of Christ, is to love God and love others. We are committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ through faithful service and ministry to all. We celebrate God's grace through worship and service. We believe that the Gospel is relevant to our lives today. We believe that all people are part of God's family. Everyone is welcome!
OUR CORE VALUES
We value tradition, worship and the love of God that is embodied in our interactions with our families and the world. We are persistent, prayerful, and hopeful. We value doing no harm, and doing good, and these values are present in how we work to build community that is authentic and welcoming to all who visit.
OUR WORSHIP SERVICES
Trinity offers a traditional worship experience in our beautiful gothic sanctuary, beginning promptly at 9:30 am., each Sunday morning. Immediately following morning worship, the Trinity family offers a Coffee & Fellowship hour in Harper Hall.
